WOAH, WHAT'S THAT STUFF?
We have some ingredients that you may not be familiar with so here's a little description on some of our items.
Bee Pollen: Containing 96 nutrients, bee pollen can improve allergies, asthma, enhance athletic performance, lower cholesterol and blood pressure and reduce nausea and cancer risk.
Beets: Helps blood flow and blood pressure levels, increases energy and endurance.
Brazil Nuts: Wonderful source of selenium and Vitamin E.
Camu Camu: This fruit comes from the Amazon rain forest of Peru and has the highest amount of vitamin C in the world, 30 to 60% more than oranges. It is tart in flavor.
Coconut Bliss Bars: Dairy, soy and gluten free ice cream made from coconut milk and sweetened with agave nectar.
Coconut Water: Coconut water is the clear liquid inside young coconuts. It’s high in electrolytes and has double the potassium of a banana, a great way to hydrate.
Ginger: Aids in digestion, increases energy and reduces inflammation.
Ground Flaxseeds: Your body can't digest flax so you have to grind it to get the benefits. Flaxseeds are high in Omega 3 essential fatty acids and fiber. Helps fight cancer, heart disease and diabetes.
Grade B Maple Syrup: Grade B is higher in zinc, manganese, potassium, magnesium, iron and calcium than Grade A.
Guanabana: Also known as soursop. This fruit helps blood pressure, insomnia, and reduces cancer risk.
Hemp Protein: This whole food source contains all eight essential amino acids. Wonderful after workouts, hemp protein is easier to digest than its counterparts. It has a rich and nutty flavor. This is a great alternative for those that do not want soy or whey protein.
Kale: One of the best things to eat. Kale's a superfood and high in vitamins and minerals that help prevent cancer.
Maca: This superfood from the high Andes and Peru builds energy, stamina and enhances libido. It has a slight nutty / butterscotch flavor.
Nutritional Yeast: High in complex B vitamins, nutritional yeast is a deactivated yeast that tastes like cheese. It is often used as a condiment, can replace cheese in recipes and is popular on popcorn.
Pepitas: Also known as pumpkin seeds. These guys are loaded with nutrients, they help depression, prostate and bladder problems, reduce inflammation and are used to treat parasites. They’re also low in calories and make a great snack.
Pomegranate Juice: This juice is high in antioxidant properties. We use pure, unsweetened Pomegranate juice.
Raw Cacao: Yum, chocolate. Before you get cocoa, you must have cacao. This is chocolate in its raw form and is a powder made from grinding cacao beans.
Seitan: Also known as “wheat meat”. Seitan is a high protein meat substitute that has a similar texture to meat. It is made from vital wheat gluten. Frida’s seitan is house-made.
Tempeh: This fermented soy product is low in fat and high in protein. Our tempeh is organic and comes from a small producer in Columbia, Missouri.
Tocos: Also known as Tocotrienol. A super antioxidant loaded with Vitamin E that is great for skin and hair. Helps blood pressure, cholesterol and the nervous system.
